The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta Requesting Feedback from Private Sector Organizations

The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (OIPC) has initiated a Private Sector Privacy Collective. One of the purposes of the Collective is to identify challenges experienced by private sector organizations in complying with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA or the Act) and to identify educational resources needed to address these challenges.
PIPA applies to organizations that operate in Alberta, with the exception of a few types of organizations, from small single person organizations to large multinational organizations. In an effort to increase compliance, the OIPC wishes to hear directly from organizations about what information they might require in order to improve compliance with PIPA and has asked the members of the Private Sector Privacy Collective, to distribute this survey to their members.
OIPC has identified some education topics that may be of interest to you.

The questionnaire is available to you by clicking this link.

Please print and check all education topics that you believe will assist your organization to become more compliant with the Act.

The information you provide in this questionnaire will be collected and used by the OIPC in order to develop educational resources targeted to meet the needs identified by Alberta organizations.

Please return the completed questionnaire to the OIPC by Fax at 403-297-2711 or by Email to dmcleod-mckay@oipc.ab.ca.

If you would like to speak to someone at the OIPC about this questionnaire, please telephone 403-297-6452 or send an Email to dmcleod-mckay@oipc.ab.ca.
Thank you for your participation.
